<p> To Americans, the notion of top-rate rock from the
Netherlands (or from any country on the continent that gave the
world Abba) may seem as unlikely as sushi in Havana. But
prejudice could perish with the arrival of BETTIE SERVEERT, an
Amsterdam grunge quartet. Having gathered glowing reviews
Stateside for its debut album, Palomine, the band is now on its
first U.S. tour. Is BS surprised at the transatlantic interest?
Jokes lead singer Carol van Dijk: "We were even surprised at the
interest in Holland."
